Adrian M #3 Posted August 16, 2004 Reminds me of a dead link. JR ?? What? It takes me to the site just fine. Try copying/pasting the URL into your browser instead...perhaps that will work.
joeybastard #4 Posted August 16, 2004 Worked OK for me... This is pretty cool but the music is awful. Paul Slocum's music is a 1000x better. I much prefer using the CX-40 over my computer keyboard too.

I agree. The 2600 version (platinum edition) just seems more natural in ever respect. But, this is a cool little substitute that you can play whenever you're at a PC! BTW, I do like how the fuel tanks give a visual indicator of just how much fuel they contain!
liveinabin #6 Posted August 16, 2004 Nice little version, mostly. Loved the emptying fuel tanks, hated the key layout and surely it takes WAY too many shots to waste the generator.

Yeah, I had fun playing through the first few levels, it is pretty neat to see a version that you can play through your browser. I agree that it takes too many shots to destroy the generator! At least compared to the 2600 version. Not sure how it fares next to the original. ..Al
Adrian M #10 Posted August 17, 2004 I've gotten up to Level 4 and I'm noticing that the level layouts are mostly the same, but there seem to be more fuel containers scattered about the levels. Level 3 in particular has 3 fuel tanks lined up just as you enter the cavern! I'd be interested to know just how faithfully this game is recreated in the later levels. Any of the talented individuals who managed to beat the 2600 version willing to try it?
