The first one shows the version with no "p" at the end label. These versions are available in NTSC and PAL. The second one is only available in PAL.

I agree, the NTSC Obelix I used to own was like the second one. I have always stayed away from Obelix carts that look like the first as they are usually PAL in my experience.

Mine looks like the first pic....and is PAL. So, I'll stick by my original statement in that the cart in that auctions looks a lot like my PAL cart.

Those scans are hard to tell apart, but that looks like early cart 83 at bottom with real silver foil label, and later grey release at top around 86..
