Albert #3 Posted October 17, 2001 Here's the answer you're looking for: 2600 Light Gun Games As you can see, we're only aware of two, Sentinel and Shooting Arcade. Of the two, only Sentinel was actually releaesd. Oh yeah, there's also the Crack'ed prototype, which I assume is also a light gun game. Can anyone confirm this so I can update the database? Thanks, ..Al [ 10-17-2001: Message edited by: Albert ]

Can anyone confirm this so I can update the database? I can't confirm for sure, but here is some speculation. The 2600 version of Sentinel is for the lightgun, as is the 7800 version. The thing with Cracked is that it is for use with joysticks on the 7800. You might think lightgun, but its prolines. My guess is that the Cracked proto is probaably joystick controlled. Doesn't Tempest know the Cracked proto owner?

Good point, I keep assuming the 7800 Crack'ed is a lightgun game. I wonder what the explanation is for this not being a lightgun game. Was it released before the lightgun? ..Al
+Mitch #7 Posted October 18, 2001 The thing about Crack'ed is that not only do you need to shoot the bad guys, but you also have to catch the eggs and put them back in the nests. That would be rather difficult to do with a lightgun without changing the gameplay. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org

Maybe they could have made it so you had to shoot the eggs, thereby "catching" them. Of course, shooting eggs doesn't sound very good, unless you're trying to make an omelet. ..Al
