Onimusha 3 Samurai Sword controller

Recommended Posts

My local Fry's Electronics has a couple of Onimusha 3 Samurai Sword controllers in stock, and I was wondering if anyone had bought one of these yet. They retail for $150 (I'm assuming that it comes with the game), so I don't see them moving all that quickly. I've never played the first two Onimusha games, but the third one looks kind of interesting. I'm wondering if this thing's going to become as rare as other odd peripherals, like the maraca controllers from the DC's Samba Amigo.

So, does anyone own one, and how exactly do you use it?

I was wondering about that too. Is it just a sword-shaped controller where you only use the buttons (which seems kinda clumsy) or do you actually wield the controller like a sword, swinging it around in front of your TV ??

Assuming this is what you're referring to it's just a swordshaped controller. No swinging "your sword" in front of the TV thank you very much :D

Oh, you swing the controller (like a sword) to control your weapon on the screen. I don't have one, but would like too :)

I don't know if Fry's have some sort of offer where you get the game and the controller but at Lik-Sang the controller itself without the game costs $154.90.

Well, that sucks. $150 for a game controller that only works with one software title, and the game it was designed for doesn't even come with it? Well, screw that. I'm not going to pay $200 for the game and controller. I hope they mark it down eventually. Fry's has the habit of marking things down if they don't move too quickly.
