POLE POSITION WITH POSITN*

Hi all this is Tony. I have the Pole Position cart with the end label POSITN*. Let me know if you still need a scan and I'll try to get you one. I am having trouble with my scanner right now, but it should be fixed by this evening.

Yeah, I've got a Pole Positn* myself. What was the deal with that, anyway? Couldn't they fit the full name on the end label?

It's been on just about every game list for *years*, but as we started scanning in every game that we have listed, it became apparent that nobody has this. Some people swear they've seen it, but nobody can prove it. I'll believe it when I see it, it could just be a typo that became truth through repetition. Then again, maybe it's just *that* rare.

I have even seen many eBay auctions claiming to have Ploe Position but none of them has any pictures.

 

Even I haven't actually seen one yet I kept hearing about such typos. If this label error is true, I wonder if this would be the holy grail of label variations?
