Phantasy Star Online: Episode 1 & 2

I need an honest opinion about this game.

 

My knowlege of Phantasy Star goes as far up to Phantasy Star III!!

 

Is it a good adventure? Is It worth the Money? (I know its cheap)!!

Yeah.

Single player gets old really fast.

 

Online, it's fun for a bit. But it's nothing like the old Phantasy Star games, save for the character styles, some weapons, and locations.

Single player didn't get old with me. On the Dreamcast, I got my character to level 96. When I bought the GameCube version, I took that character to level 39. And that wasn't even playing PSO version 2.

when i got the original DC version, i put in over 200 hours. it was digital crack. but that was before hackers had taken over, and the servers were still free. its still a very satisfying game.

 

 

oh, and you need to get Phantasy Star IV already

If there's one major gripe about PSO for XBox, you *need* XBox Live and online subscribtion even if you only play offline.

 

Other than that, it's a good game. I've put in considerable time with one of my character at 125 and I have not been online yet.

Meh. Fear not.

Just get yourself a copy of Diablo II for your PC or Mac. Better game presented in glorious 2D and better online play.

Really? I didn't like Diablo at all, I think it was the 'Baldurs Gate' point of perspective that you had, quite far above your character, I much preferred the straight 3rd person view in PSO - way more involving.

Anyway, not a huge amount of point playing PSO now, even though you can still get online with it on Xbox and GC, nobody much plays it anymore. I'm afraid you've rather missed it

I agree with Adrian here. Diablo II is a much better game than PSO, at least in my very humble opinion.

Diablo 2 is a great game....and so is PSO. I had mucho fun with it on the DC. Got my character to 100 on the original, and then to level 140 on the Version 2. Had some nice rare weapons (non gamesharked) and enjoyed both online and single player very much. I suggest you at least try it as it's pretty cheap now.
