need help on assembler

I'm a totally newbie on 6502 ASM programming, and i want to learn assembler.

But ... what editor/compiler use?

somebody knows a good asm tutorial? (for free, obviously)

Are you going to use an Atari or an EMU of the Atari?

 

If you are going to work on the real thing then for me i would say there is only one MAC 65 its very quick and what i used to use all the time when write games and stuff.

 

There is no easy way to learn machine code so you just have to start small and work up. There is much source code to play with in the forums and also take a look at jetbootjack.com there you will find some programs in 6502 to play with. Get a copy of Mapping the Atari as that will tell you what all the address are about to start with.
