Blackjack #1 Posted August 28, 2004 For those of you who have done a lot of selling on eBay...... Have you noticed any advantage to starting/ending your auctions on weekends vs. weeknights? I'm wondering when the best time to have my auctions end is, you know, when will I be most likely to get the best money for my goods?
UK WOMBLE #2 Posted August 29, 2004 Ive been experimenting a little lately, I used to think sundays was the best night to end on in order to get a good price for my laptops. However, lately, weeknights seem to have been the best for me, monday or tuesday nights seem to bring the best money... Si

I'm wondering when the best time to have my auctions end is, you know, when will I be most likely to get the best money for my goods? There are advantages to ending at certaing times I think yes, altough one needs to take into account several things, firstly, that when condiserding the end time, think about the locals. For example, I might ship worldwide, but my end times, would only consider the U.K. So, I might take into account that this Monday is a Bank Holiday (public holiday), and that ending listings on a Monday afternoon this time around might be a good thing.... I also believe it or not, take the weather into account for the weekends. I dont spend a lot of time on this aspect of it, but I do consider it a bit, aprticulalry if I have a lot of stuff to sell. Usually, I try to time it to end at a weekend, if it's going to end mid-week, I make sure that it's not at stupid o'clock in the morning, mostly.
