Ghost Manor question

Help!

 

I'm masochistically trying to enjoy my Ghost Manor/Spike's peak combo and I'm stuck on Ghost Manor. I get to the last screen with, uh, Dracula and I have the crosses... but how do I use them?? He just runs up on me and takes my 1 life while I run around pressing the button!

Never mind.. just found the answer (I think) on Video Game Critic ... Hold button down and press up...

 

I'll go try it - thanks anyway!

Just make sure the Drac ends up below the prison before driving him higher up. If you drive him up too high and you're not under the prison, he'll wrap around and end up on the bottom of the screen.

Ghost Manor is an underrated game IMHO.

 

However, NEVER FLIP THAT CART OVER !

Doesn't it come in a variety of variations as far as what's on the other side?

 

I loved both spike & ghost, but I was able to beat spike and could never beat ghost.

I played Spike's Peak for about 30 minutes before deciding that Spike is an a-hole, and I don't care about his friggin' Peak !

 

I could never make it past the first screen. (Is there another screen?)

Yes, spike has many screens of pain to test the mettle of any of the most hardcore who wish to sacrifice themselves upon the altar of the peak.

Yeah, it's pretty fun once you know what to do... I finally beat it (on easy ) and I still TRY to beat Spike's Peak periodically (I can get to the 3rd screen every now and again). The first screen on Spike's took me a while to beat, it's weird with all the timing stuff you have to do to avoid certain death from the bird and bear.
