+opcode #1 Posted August 29, 2004 I found a bug in the marquee opening sequence of Ms Pac-Man (the original arcade game). If you look closely, the left side of the marquee doesn't light correctly (just half of the lights will really... well, light). It's due to an incorrect character code GCC used with this animation. Should I correct it in my Pac-Man Collection (the ColecoVision version)?
mrgameandwatch #2 Posted August 29, 2004 I think you should fix that error/ bug, since reprogramming a game of any sorts for another hardware gives you a chance to fix a bug or two. I never noticed that, in all of my playing Ms. Pac-Man.
chrisbid #3 Posted August 29, 2004 wow, finding stuff like that is really cool. since you are going for accuracy, i would include the bug and even note it in the instruction manual

Since you are shooting for a completely accurate port of the arcade game, I'd be inclined to vote for keeping the bug in your Colecovision version. Most of what excites me so much about this conversion is the fact that it will be arcade perfect. If it's there in the original I think that you should keep it. Nukey Shay #5 Posted August 30, 2004 Vote #3 to keep it in...plus I agree that it would make a worthy addition to the program notes
