2600Lives #1 Posted August 31, 2004 At FYE (For Your Entertainment, used to be Camelot Music, mostly a mall store). I'm not sure if it's a nationwide chain or not, but I meandered in today and was perusing the GameCube section. I noticed a BUNCH of games on half price or more. The Return of the King was selling for 19.99, the cheapest I've ever seen it, and there were many more titles. I picked up Return of the King and XIII for 20 bucks each. Not too bad really. Speaking of XIII, who's played this? It's a TOTALLY awesome game. I'm just a few levels into it and I'm already completely hooked on the twisting conspiracy storyline, and the comic-styled paneled cut scenes are very well done. Any opinions on this game? Xot #2 Posted August 31, 2004 I haven't played in since about the fourth mission, where you have to use the wire gun to climb across the rooftops. I got sick of dying because I have no way of knowing how far I can safely fall and no way of knowing what's safe to land on. Up until that point,I had been really enjoying it. Great graphics and bitchingly hard.
Shannon #3 Posted August 31, 2004 Return of the King dropped from $30 to $20 just last week. Great game! I was tempted to get it but have already went crazy at the TRU 50% sale. So I'll pick it up later.
SteveW #4 Posted August 31, 2004 I don't care for F.Y.I. very much. My local store had Dreamcast games 'discounted' to $20 up until last spring. They don't have very good prices, but it's a good place to find games that have sold out everywhere else. And at least they have a good comedy CD selection.
