How does a seller with 100% feedback get NARU'd?

Recommended Posts

I recently received two games I bought off of Ebay. When I went to leave feedback, I found out the seller was NARU. I was, needless to say, confused. The seller has 100% feedback with only 2 or so neutrals, and none of them recent. Why would this happen? The seller's name is

i-candee. My transaction was positive in every way. :?

Or NPB's, or outdated contact information, or eBay listing violations, or west wind blowing on August 29th - 2 miles outside of Tucson - an empty chip bag blows past 3 peanut shells and *poof* - NARU.

More than likely non payment of eBay fees.

I was thinking the same thing. That's the most likely.

Though, i-candee changed username lately. I wonder why one would change name after 2 years of service and over 400 positive feedbacks.

non payment of fees is what I thought.

There was an eBayer, one of a small group of people with feedback between 1,000 and 5,000 that I often seem to buy from, whose service I could not fault. 99.9% feedback, always prompt to deliver....

Went to look at their auctions and they were naru'd. Bought something of a relative newbie, and lo and behold, the return address on the envelope revealed it was the same peson. I was wondering about e-mailing them and asking, but thought it might be implolite.

Well, I see your point, but it would have been interesting indeed to hear from them. Probably we'd had the chance to understand something more on how the company works - "firing" one of their best partners seems like an idiocy.

NARU'd doesn't neccessarily have to do with feedback, if you list 4 items that violate eBay policy and you get caught every time, you're done. Unless, of course, you are smart enough to fight them with their own weapons. :ponder:

I was NARU'd once and I have over 800 unique positive feedback on my main account (0 negative) and pay on time, every time. ;)

In fact, all of my 10+ accounts have 0 negatives. :P

Maybe I should tally all of those positive's sometime. :ponder: :D

You must be a member of eBay for more than five (5) days to leave Feedback for any user.

Warning! Using a second email address (an "alias") to leave negative Feedback for another or positive Feedback for yourself may result in immediate suspension of your eBay registration. The use of an alias account for any purpose regarding Feedback is strictly prohibited.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I have just started a second i.d, my main one is still very much active, but i'd like to have seperate buying and selling accounts now. I went to leave feedback for a transaction, and I can't.

I have a friend who actually has two accounts for the same purpose. He uses one for buying and one for selling. To date, he has not bid on his own stuff either. He's happy with whatever price things go for.

As far as I know, I think you can contact ebay and unregister yourself. Most people just let their account sit in an unused state. Probably so if they ever come back to buy or sell, they don't have to go through all the hassles of getting a new account set up.

Non-payment of fees?

I have it set up to automatically withdraw money from my account for EBay fees.
