Anyone know what this joystick is? On the bottom is a battery compartment, but I can't get it open (think it's fake).

I have a pair of those as well, as does Kepone. We have it pictured in our rarity guide at gamerzuniverse:

As of yet, we haven't been able to determine who the manufacturer is.

 

Here's a closeup of the bottom one of the controllers that does have the labels still on them confirming that this controller was made with the 2600 in mind:

The battery hatch is likely because that design was probably used as a wireless/remote controller in some other lifeform of that design. The battery isn't needed in yours.

I had three of those at one point. All of the wires got robbed off of them and put on nes controllers I think I threw the plastic joystick parts away.

I've got one of those somewhere. After I couldn't get that stupid battery door open, I took it apart to see what was behind that door. Nothing, of course. No wiring for a battery at all.

I have two of them afer the bands of francis get through I'll post up picts of the insides that I can get to, yes the battery compartment is fake, inthe controller rarity thread (no time to look it up) I posted alot about it.
