homerwannabee
34ish Can't be President until the end of May. I'll vote for you Another vote for you Wow. Maybe it's time for a candidate to run on a pro-Atari platform. Seems like they'd be shoo-in. Anyone got any good slogan ideas? How bout this. While we were playing the Atari are opponent was busy playing with his Wii.

BydoEmpire
I'm 33. Although I actually did more 2600 collecting when I was in my late teens and early 20s. Lots of garage sales had 2600 stuff then, and I didn't have a mortage, car payments, savings, etc. competing for my paycheck. =)

I got my first atari in '83 and have had a love\hate on\off releationship with the 2600 from then and forver more I beg to differ. True kids of Atari are those that were between ages 10-14 when Space Invaders was released in 1980. I was 10 at the time. I and everyone of my friends had an Atari VCS. We made sure to buy different games to have more to play. Those in their early 30's can slide by as "true kids of Atari" but those in their late 20's are more of the NES generation. lowscore
I am 33 and never had any of my own video games growing up. I had one of those weird moms that wouldn't let me eat sugered cerial or own violent toys like Star Wars, GI Joe and Transformers My stepsister had a ColecoVision, but since mine was a weekend dad type of thing we mostly went roller-skating. That is where I played Battlezone and Centipede to death. Now I do what I want, eat what I want and collect any toy that I want. (if I can afford it.) Gateway
Here's my timeline: 1986: Our family finally gets a 2600 after years of watching cousins, friends, and neighbors play Atari( and letting my siblings and I try to play once or twice ). I also remember a few years later, going to my brother's friend house to see his brand new NES and watching him play up to World 8 in Super Mario Bros. but not letting my brother or me try to play the game! It wasn't very fun watching others play the games. Since then I've been trying to make up for this discrepancy of not having our own collection of games back then. I now have over 400 titles. Oh, and I turn 31 the end of this March.
Atari-Jess
Due to the fact I previously didnt want to admit the fact im 11. You shouldn't have lied to us like that. It spawns distrust, which is worse than what you were fearing a lie would protect you from.

I got mine around the time that defender and Berzerk came out. However, I do remember plaing games at friends homes for a long time befor I got mine.
