7800Lover #1 Posted September 7, 2004 I have a bit of trouble remembering an old computer game I used to play. I remember as a child in the 1980s, we used to use Apple II computers and played edutainment games on them. We played some good ones like Number Munchers, Dragon's Keep, and Iggy's Knees (don't ask). But there was this one game that I don't remember the title too. It was a text adventure supplemented with graphics. You chose what to do by picking a number next to the options (i.e. [1] go inside[2]go around the back) I think the place you explored was some mansion called the Belwerd House (Belward?) and I can still remember the opening scene. Beforehand, you type in the name of a friend. When the game begins, you wake up late at night after some dream. The three options you are given at that point were: 1. Go back to sleep 2. Call (friend's name) to check 3. Go to the Belwerd House Can someone ID this game so I can finally stop driving myself crazy and maybe even track it down? I love old Apple II games best game of all - Wings of Fury I wish someone would make a new version of that game, just to update the graphics, the game play is stellar. kevin

pinball22 #4 Posted September 10, 2004 That Virtual Apple thing is pretty cool-looking... none of the games will load for me, though. That may be because of the firewall here at work, though. I'll try it again when I get home. (And unless the Apple version of Maniac Mansion was much different from the C64 one, I don't think that's it.) Stingray #5 Posted September 10, 2004 Only a guess really. It was the only thing I could come up with off the top of my head that was even close. -S
Nukey Shay #6 Posted September 11, 2004 Never heard of it. But you can poke around at Asimov to see if anything rings a bell... ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/
