lonesome_pa #1 Posted September 9, 2004 I picked up another NES deck at my local thrift on Saturday. It was marked $2.49 with no hook-ups or controllers. But it did have a game inside. I closed the lid and brought it to the clerk. He rang me up and for under $3 I got another deck and one game. What game you ask???? Stealth. OK, a cheap game literally and figuratively. So you ask what's the great find?!?!?!? Well I didn't get to clean up the deck until tonight and that's when I found it. That's right, that little compartment on the bottom. I usually open it up when I clean the decks (inside and out) and there it was.......no, not a roach.......but 2, yes 2, $20 bills rolled up. Whatcha wanna bet some poor kids savings, or someone's drug money. Oh well, I just made $37. I'm happy!
marshalldylan1 #2 Posted September 9, 2004 Haha, that's awesome! What is that little compartment for anyway?
kemsted #3 Posted September 9, 2004 I could never figure out what the compartment was for either but thats still a very cool find. I only wish I could have that kind if luck.
lonesome_pa #4 Posted September 9, 2004 IIRC it was supposed to be for some lottery add-on. I think it was a lottery......
Raijin Z #5 Posted September 9, 2004 I found a complete NES marked $69.99 today. That was in a pawn shop. Every store in the mall that sold classic games now has nothing older than PS2 stuff. =_=
pmpddytim #6 Posted September 9, 2004 I found a complete NES marked $69.99 today. That was in a pawn shop. Every store in the mall that sold classic games now has nothing older than PS2 stuff. =_= The Game-X-Change store around here sell NES systems for $59.99!!! Highway robbery. But hey, buy $5 NES systems at the thrifts, clean'em up and sell'em to GXC and you make yourself a nice littel profit. -Tim

Rockin' Kat #12 Posted September 10, 2004 I once bought a boxed NES without really looking at it much... when I took it all the way out I found Dr. Mario under the system and SMB2 loaded in the system. Other than that I've only found Dirt, Dust, a few dead Daddy Long Legs, and a rusty hair clip in systems I've picked up.
Mr Egg #13 Posted September 11, 2004 all i have found in mine is roach fossils and the ocassional piece of Qtip and cotton on the game connector likely caused by failed attempts to clean the contacts
