Broke my feedback rule grrrrrrr

Recommended Posts

I know you should always leave feedback but after getting a very undeserving negitive I wouldnt leave feedback on items I sold til I was sure the buyer was satisfied with the item.Well I went ahead and left a buyer positive feedback for an item they received with plenty of time to try it out and get back to me if they werent happy. Then they turn around and leave me netural feedback saying game is to hard to play...whats up with that...The buyer never emailed me with any complaints or questions just left the feedback..guess Ill just have to take my lumps..

I'm getting fed up with stupid people on Ebay. I leave fb for people, even if they don't leave fb for me. My feedback is now over 1430. I have 4 negatives, 2 of which are people who wished they could have taken it back.

I've gotten a couple of neutrals, but I don't think they matter much.

A lot of times the neutrals are given usually by people who arne't satisfied by the purchase, but it's not the seller's fault. Those are usually the newbies to the business.

After 12 months those neutrals won't even be in existance. I don't think Ebay shows neutrals anymore. Also, sometimes a neutral is given by someone who feels too bad to leave a negative.

To me a neutral or negative warrants a couple of reasons to be given to a seller. One is that they ship extremely late. Also, if they ship a different method other than the one paid for, ie 1st class when priority was specified. If they skip including insurance and something happens that they don't want to take responsibiltiy for. If the product isn't as described and they won't refund or reimburse a partial amount.

My biggest negative I gave to a seller was when I purchased a Dragon's Lair board game. The seller stated in the auction that he did not know if it was complete. It was suppoed to come with like 36 cards or something like that, and there were 0 (I didn't know what came with the game at the time). I wasn't going to hold him responsible until I got the game. I got the board, pieces, and instructions. THE INSTRUCTIONS STATED THE EXACT CONTENTS OF THE GAME!!!! That means this guy was an asshole who didn't want to take responsibility. He knew it wasn't complete because all he had to do was glance at the instructions and see what came with the game, but he played ignorant. He deserved the negative.

Anyway, alot of the feedback is never justified, but you have to deal with it. You can always respond to it by saying that you aren't the game designer and should not be held responsibile that the player is limited in mind and can't understand it. Hell, if it was an Atari game, you could have sent him a doc from here. :)
