Pifall!: Just pick a direction (right or left) and set off on your adventure. You can try the underground passages, but they skip screens so navigating can be a headache. Basically, just explore until your 20:00 min are up.

 

 

Pitfall II. There is a gold bar to the far right of where you start. Beyond that, work your way down the far right shaft to start, then work your way through the shafts heading left. You are looking for Rhonda, the Raj Diamond (its a ring), and Quickclaw the cat.

 

If you have maps they should help a lot in locating everything.

Here's a couple of cheats for Pitfall! You can use PCAE to edit the lines, or make a custom .bin using 2600GFX programs.

 

PCAE

Change F724 to value 00, and F7A6, F7A7, and F7A8 to value EA.

 

2600GFX

Put the programs in the same directory as your games. Run the dos prompt and type...

CD2600ROMS (or whatever your folders are named)

Then type...

SHOWGFX PITFALL.BIN 0 4096 > PITFALL.TXT

Type EDIT PITFALL.TXT and change these lines...

0724 | | (8 spaces between the lines)

07a6 |XXX X X |

07a7 |XXX X X |

07a8 |XXX X X |

Save and exit, and type...

EDITGFX PITFALL.TXT PITCHEAT.BIN

 

The first byte stops the timer from counting, and the rest remove the JSR that takes points away when you trip on a log. This has a side effect of zapping you down to the lower level when you die (sometimes trapping you), and you still lose 100 points when you fall in a hole.

Help

i just got pitfall and pitfall2 and ive been playing them nonstop without getting any where in pitfall! i got the gold bar money and ring thats it in pitfall two i got nothin i got maps and whatnot i just kinda need to no where to go.
