StanJr #26 Posted October 26, 2001 So, if you get points for using warps, what keeps me from running up my score and rating by simply stepping in and out of the same warp spot over and over. 1 step warp =15 1 step warp =15 1 step warp =15 45/3 =15.00 I already have a better rating than you have on your scale and I didn't even pick up a cart. Even factoring in 2 steps 45/6 = 7.50 The warps alone give me a huge score. Am I missing something?
atari70s #27 Posted October 26, 2001 yes you are. the rating system is more than just that right now i am doing score/steps ( but im gonna probably change it. IE 3000steps 40x50pts 16x20pts 13x10pts 9x15pts (warp) 5770pts total 5770/3000 is 1.92 rating
StanJr #28 Posted October 26, 2001 right, but that's what I did too.. Suppose I do nothing but find a warp and step in and out of it 12 times. 12 steps 12 (warps) x15 =180 180/12 gives me a rating of 15.00 Add a few extra steps to get to the warp 20 steps 12 warps x15 =180 180/20= a rating of 9.00 I can run up my rating and score just by finding a single warp and traveling in and out of it countless times. The points per warp vs. the steps in and out are an uneven ratio. I accrue 15 pts for a maximum 2 steps. This always gives me a minimum rating of 7.5. Or am I still missing something? atari70s #29 Posted October 26, 2001 I think stan your on the right track . but the 12 steps to get to a warp are WAY off. i think at least 270 to 300 steps to even get to the warp . plus i might consider even hiding that also to make it harder to find. also i am gonna include (-) negitive point carts. but i might need to rework the rating system before i have it fixed. StanJr #30 Posted October 26, 2001 Ok. I just didn't want it to be too easy to run up the score with something like a warp. As long as it takes more than 300 steps to get to a warp, you should be ok. You'd have to really waste a lot of time going back and forth from warp to warp to jack your rating that way. (At least 150 times) Keep up the good work! StanJr #33 Posted October 27, 2001 Are the carts you are picking up in the game just lying out in the open? Or do you have to uncover them by looking in stuff or opening up boxes or something? Do negative point carts look any different from good carts? Can you buy/sell/trade carts with other characters in the game?
atari70s #34 Posted October 27, 2001 Stan. well you do get negitive points if you find non atari games. or combat carts( too many combats known why bother rating them. ) but no trading selling or buying. to be honest the cart circles are not gonna be drawn circles cause i want it to be hard for people to find these games. i dont know exactly how i can find ways to do the rating system i think for now stan u should EMAIL me at [email protected] cause i can see you can be a big help to me cause you can explain to me different points around my game IF you can show me a way to do a timer i can add to my game the better. atari70s #38 Posted October 30, 2001 Oh its very Playable. all i need to do is fix the 2 end screens so that the little man doesnt continue to move when the game is over. and also get all 12 circles to go to one of the END screens. also i need to take away all other circles. so go from there. let me know what else you want to knwo. and IF YOU CAN GET THE LITTLE MAN TO STOP MOVING WHEN THE END SCREEN APPEARS LET ME KNOW. Stan what is your next question i know you have more

I mean... if I find a Combat at the thrift store, I don't buy it so that it will weigh down my collection, I usually just leave it behind. --Zero
atari70s #40 Posted October 30, 2001 Nope , Only way to tell the difference is to memorize all 10 or 12 rooms and floors and exactly where the circles are. And to get the Bonus Right you need to find all 3 rooms where hints are given find the special room with 12 colorful cricles ( which you see ) and follow you owners manual with use of colors to see which item is which and you need to find the correct one. you have 11 wrong circles and 1 correct circle. So that is a Very Very big challenge.
