Jasoco #26 Posted September 16, 2004 Remember. Serious Sam (For Xbox at least) pokes fun at Duke a few times. In one level, (17: Sierra De Chiapas) there's a golden phone booth. Go inside and "Use" the phone. He'll call Vegas and ask for "Blondie". "Hello, Blondie? Is it you?" "No, it's [unintelligible name]. He will come when he's done." "Oh, man. I've been waiting FOREVER." I have faith that DN4 will never come. It keeps my hopes from getting too high. Halo, Sam and DOOM give me enough FPS to play. Duke will be added if he ever arrives. Avid Fan #27 Posted September 16, 2004 We used to play deathmatch all the time. I never played a co-op shooter until Halo. Those were great times. My friend who I played with knew how to edit and make wads, and we had this one deathmatch level that was both of our houses, but with all sorts of hidden things in the closets and backyards (like airducts, basements) that was super cool, but it got old after a while
Clock #28 Posted September 16, 2004 Duke Nukem is probably nothing more than a tech demo sitting somewhere gathering dust, but they are too embarrassed to admit it and are hoping people will just forget. However, maybe they are being secretive because they have something that will evolutionise gaming as we know it. One of those very rare games that just force your jaw to the floor. Ha but I doubt it. Needles Kane #30 Posted September 17, 2004 If it is a tech demo, it's got to be pretty dated if it was started back in '97. I wouldn't be surprised if there is no game or tech demo at all, and it's all hype.

Trooper #34 Posted September 18, 2004 I read somewhere the other day that they decided to jump to the Doom 3 engine now so.... I think they've been one step behind the entire developmentperiod, changing engines to the one that's new and cool all the time and this keeps pushing the release every time. I don't know....I was really excited back in 97 but.....I've stopped waiting. /Troop
