COOL JR

Recommended Posts

Having a VCS JR with a faint power LED I decided to replace it with a cool blue one. However the blue one was so bright that I had to stick a piece of milky white plastic (from a beer cap :D ) under the power LED window. :)

It's my Multi cart design on an experimental board. Using just two descrete chips it can handle 2K/4K and patched F8,F6,F4 roms.

:D That's cool with the LED switch. At this robot event I go to every 3 months there is a team who uses these LEDs that change color. Very cool.

Self flashing RGB LEDs. Have a look at http://ledmuseum.home.att.net/ledrgb.htm

 This gives me another idea: Instead of using a flasher you use a 4 pin RGB LED with common anode.

hook anode to 5V and the other pins to 0V, dificulty switch A and difficulty switch B using resistors. Then you can see that the power is on and in which positions the difficulty switches are :D I really must get one to try this out ! (have another JR with a poor LED)
