Anyone using an Ethernec?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone is using the Ethernec network interface that plugs into any ST cartridge port and if so, how well is it working and such.

I currenly have my ST setup with a null modem serial line to my PC for transferring to/from and of course its painfully slow, and since my whole office is networked, it would be easier to use the ST via TCP/IP and I've got stacks of NE2000's so I am just wondering what experiences people have had with the hw and sw combo???

I am using ethernec on both TT and Falcon. Both machines has access to internet via cable tv. It is much faster than serial line. Speed is around 200 KB/sec on LAN. I am using drivers for MiNT. I have not experience with STiK but think that it worth to build it.

I got a network card for my MegaST2 a few years back. I didnt get much luck nor support getting it to work well. I was able to 'ftp' content from my ST to my windows PC which was my main goal to backup my ST information.

I had no luck with browser or drive sharing.

Id love to bring this back out if someone could help me getting it work better.

It was a NU2000 network card that plugged into the cart port.
