Most nostalgic game.

Here's a toughie. What's the most nostalgic game made for the 2600? Personally, I couldn't pick just one, I've loved so many of the games that it's impossible to single out one.

For me its Pitfall II hands down. Simply due to the great memories I have of playing it with my dad.

There are a lot of other games that bring back old memories and feelings, but none compare to this one.

Its one of the main reasons I got back into collecting again this time around.

"Donkey Kong" brings back some memories, but there are many, many more.

I would have to say Adventure because it was the first game my mother bought for me after she bought me the 2600 system, and I played the hell out of that game!!.

Even though I didnt initially own the Atari version - Ghostbusters. Nothing brings back the 80s for me as much as that film and all the stuf that surrounded it, I still throw the soundtrack on occasionally when I've got the VCS fired up

the first game i ever put into my atari was Demons to diamonds and i still play it from time to time

and the 2 player game is fun especially when your friend doesnt know that you can hit the other player but this trick can only work once tho

I didnt have 2600 in my childhood but a friend of mine had one for some months. I played a game where you had to explore old Egypt it was full of pyramids, snakes and treasure. And scrolling from bottom to top.

For the 2600 Activisions Freeway.

I remember playing that alot with my Mom.

Beleive it or not Frogger was a little to hard for my Mom to play. So the next best thing was Freeway. She did like PacMan thou.

On the Colecovision it had to be Donkey Kong.

God I play that to death with my brother when I got it on Christmas day. Them where the days. A console with a pack-in game!

I'd definitely have to say Combat. Part of the reason for this is an old arcade game that my uncle had... it was the original Tank by Kee Games (Which was actually a sub-division of Atari or something). I still remember the loud "tank" noises that this thing used to make, and the twin-sticks that you controlled your tank with... man, it was a blast!

I would have to choose H.E.R.O. (Notice my image). Just so much tied into that game, and to think I have 76 carts and I still don't own H.E.R.O.

 

A close runner up would by Combat. Due to the countless hours of playing everyone in my family until the early morning hours

I'll have to go with breakout. Only because its the one that started it for me. The first console we ever had was one that played breakout and pinball. The next year Atari VCS came out and my family bought one. Then about a week later and many games of combat later... I came home and on the table was my first cartridge... (Not including combat)...It was breakout and I played the the hell out of it.
