redoctane atari 2600 usb joystick, button mapping problem :(

hello! i was hoping someone could help me out with a problem...

 

i recently bought 8 atari 2600 usb replica joysticks from redoctane.com.

windows maps the button as button #2, instead of button #1, and since there's only one button on the joystick, the button therefore doesn't work.

the joystick part does work, so i can play pacman and such, but since the

fire button doesn't work, the joystick is otherwise useless.

 

i use Stella for my atari emulation, but there's no joystick settings on the

version i have.

 

so, any ideas? anybody out there have any success in getting the button to work on these joysticks? any help would be appreciated!
