NTSC or PAL version?

Recommended Posts

When I am out at flea markets how can I tell that the game that I am getting is a NTSC game not a PAL game? I live in the U.S. so I doubt that I will ever come across a PAL game but I just want to be sure.

There is no sacred rule.

Preminently, PAL carts are identified with an extra sticker or with a "P" letter somewhere (on the end label for Atari carts). Avoid those.

If nothing is specified, there is no way to tell if it is NTSC or PAL until you try the cart itself. However, I would say that the chances to find PAL carts at flea markets in the US are minimal.
