Cassidy Nolen #1 Posted September 28, 2004 Hi all, Its a beautiful machine, in a Frogger style cabinet (the cab is dedicatied, just looks like a Frogger). The game is almost identical to Donkey Kong, but runs on a boardset built by Falcon. The game was a licensed European release of Donkey Kong. Onscreen graphics are the same, but the maquee and overlay graphics are completely different. The one on http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...r=&game_id=7430 is different yet from mine (how many DK variations are there?). Game has a new light, lock and door bulbs. Monitor is a WG 4600 and looks AMAZING. There is one small section missing from the overlay that I have painted black and refinised the upper edge. Cab, marquee and coin door all look great. No major wear or scratches. I will try to get some pics up if you are interested. I am asking 325 for it if you pick up. LMK if you are interested. I would also consider trading for Atari 2600 stuff I do not have that is the same value. Thanks for looking. Cassidy

Stingray #3 Posted September 28, 2004 Why are all of these DK machines so far away from me? This price is a real deal. -S
Cassidy Nolen #4 Posted September 28, 2004 Here are some shots. I had to take them in the pool house, because its raining out. My camera is a POS, so please forgive the shots. I did some color playing so they look brighter, but at the sacrifice of clarity. Dig that wacky home-made looking marquee? It is actually silk screened, but looks wild. It would not be hard to cut a Donkey Kong one to fit; heck even a control panel overlay. There are some spots on the control panel that look iffy, but overall its nice (I had not seen the game in a few weeks; I was not trying to mislead just forgot what it looked like ). For this price, you can buy both and still be less than what an ugly and/or dead DK goes for these days! Other side looks just as good. No water damage at all. NE146 #5 Posted September 28, 2004 Why are all of these DK machines so far away from me? This price is a real deal. -S It aint Donkey Kong.. it's Crazy Kong There is a difference. However that IS a great price. Cassidy if only you were nearer
Stingray #6 Posted September 29, 2004 There is a difference, but not enough to make this not worth the purchase. I'd actually rather have a Crazy Kong than a DK anyway since that's what they had in my favorite arcade back in the dark days of the '80s. -S
NE146 #7 Posted September 29, 2004 hey I said myself above I wish I could buy it (since it sounds like you got the impression I was saying that it being different was a negative thing). There are obviously major differences between Crazy Kong and Donkey Kong from the animation, to the colors, the music, to the bouncy rivet things, to the tricks you can do. But that's not anything negative.. just the facts! As far as Crazy Kong goes.. I think growing up that was almost ALL we had. You had to search long and hard to find the Nintendo Donkey Kongs. I lived in Asian bootleg central
Cassidy Nolen #8 Posted September 30, 2004 Had one "almost' taker, its still up for grabs. I had forgotten how much fun DK is to play. I try to stay away from Nintendo cabs generally. May not after having this one around. I have a fully restored (ALL new art, power supply, rebuilt monitor) Frogger that I may be selling too. The buyer looks like they backed out on it, too. Bummer month for me. Cassidy
