Cool Photoshop Stuff... Anybody know this plugin?

Anybody know what plugin this guy used for his auctions. I love it.

I'm not going to use it for auctions, but I would like to play around with it.

That's not a plugin. Or at least, not just one, if he's using any. I can pretty much break down how it's done though.

 

Background: Could be pre-made, or just random strokes with a variable-width, variable-pressure stroke, possibly with a "spotty" mask filter.

Pictures: Regular pics with a border; just expand the canvas, paste, add drop shadow.

Tape: Easy. Strip of colour, add some jagged edges, mask, cut, paste, reduce opacity.

Writing: Lots of scrawl fonts out there.

Crumpled paper: Texture itself can be a Photoshop filter. Making lined paper is easy.

hehe...... all that's exactly why I was hoping it was a plugin! I'm not artistic at ALL!

I did this pic with a simple plugin, I was hoping for something as easy.

Well, if it's Photoshop tips you want, there are some great tutorials at Worth 1000 (great contest site; I've entered quite a few there), and Phong (great beginner and advanced effects, plus Flash tuts). There are plenty of links from either of those to other good tutorial sites, too.

No no, Mindfield, it's not that I don't have the resources to learn, it's that I don't have the Talent to evolve past the skill level of Neanderthal Cave Drawings.

 

I've always hated that I couldn't do anything with visual art. That's why I like plugins that do this kind of stuff so much - It's harnessing the power of the talented for easy use by the artistically bereft like myself.

 

I do appreciate your trying though.
