Was anyone here dissapointed with the new classic reamakes such as pong, missle control, etc. I was i thought pong was pretty kool but its just not the same with all the add-ons. I think they shouldve put in the original version and the new.

I had a hell of alot of fun with Asteroids and Missile Command on GBA. Pong is ok but has almost no challenge.

Well, i would have to say that all of the Frogger remakes for most systems in the past years have been very well done. Especially the genesis and SNES versions! Activision Classics really was horrible on Playstation though; that one really irks me bad! The new adventures of series of Ms. pac-man and others is rediculous as well.

Pong and Breakout need paddles badly. The way the analog control was handled in Breakout was the wrong approach. It was done so that instead of each position on the analog stick representing a position on the screen, it was the further from neutral, the faster the rate of acceleration of the paddle. Classic out-of-touch remake-design blunder.

 

Activision Asteroids was well done, though.

The Frogger for Playstation is pretty great. The new version is fun and challenging and you get the option of unlocking the original which is pretty sweet.

Pong and Breakout were totally moronic on the Playstation. Have you played the multiplayer modes in Breakout? There's a game were you chase around chickens that's just plain stupid. The versus game that tries to incorporate puzzle elements into the Breakout gameplay was a bad idea, too, because the games just go on FOREVER.

P.S. Classic 1999 E3 moment... I had some yutz try to explain to me how to play Pong. I felt like punching him.
