Y'ever notice how pretty well all the BB carts are in top notch condition despite their age and usage of cheap-ass labels that almost have to be prime targets for Actiplaque?

 

I still say there are batches of these things floating around that are just "reproductions." Hell, you could do up a convincing BB label with a bubblejet and MS Paint...

Over 50 of these Beagle Brothers carts have surfaced. The going rate on ebay seems to be about $25, which is about what it would cost if you ordered a reproduction today from someone willing to make a 4K cart for you.

 

Does anyone think that as a group, the Beagle Brothers titles should still be listed as rarity 10 items?

There is no way that these should be rated as rarity 10's. I personally don't even think that they should be listed in the rarity guide at all. My guess is that if you emailed this seller saying that you were looking for a specific title (as a Beagle Brother cart) that the seller could probably come up with one in the next few days.

I have come to a conclusion. I have now inspected more than 4 of these (thanks to you guys who lent me one) and I am 99.9% sure that they are indeed real. These were not made recently. In fact, I believe that these were constructed in Brazil under some sort of contract. They share all the same characteristics that most Brazillian pirates have.

 

So, there you have it. Real pirates.    

 

I guess there has not yet been one opened up and inspected that has looked like it was made yesterday. Once one is found that looks like it was made yesterday, then everything after that will be suspect.

Grouping them together as whole, or for each title? I'm sure there are a ton left to be ebayed still, but how many of each title have surfaced over the past months have you got a count?

These carts were admittedly imported from a game maker in Brazil. I don't see why they should have any rarity assigned to them since none of the other pirate carts logged in the rarity guide do.
