Adrian M #1 Posted October 8, 2004 Anyone know that Casio came out with its own weird game system/sticker printer hybrid game console? I suspect the answer is no, but anyway, behold:
joeybastard #2 Posted October 8, 2004 There was a site I used to browse thru that was some guys insane hardware collection. He had like 139 different systems although many of them were Pong varients. I think he had one of these, I remember some kind of weird Casio thing I had never seen. I wish I could rememebr the name of that site

He sells all sorts of cool Japanese hardcore game stuff. I mostly check to see what he has for arcade boards and whatnot (there's a Konami M2 (yes the 3D0 offshoot) arcade board up for sale right now). joeybastard #4 Posted October 8, 2004 Is his name Shou-Sama? No, the name of the site was some variation on being a video game museum, I had it in my favorites on a harddrive that bit the dust and have never been able to find it since.
NintendoDieScreaming #5 Posted October 8, 2004 Who knew? Pretty weird lookin' console there
Lost Monkey #6 Posted October 8, 2004 Is his name Shou-Sama? No, the name of the site was some variation on being a video game museum, I had it in my favorites on a harddrive that bit the dust and have never been able to find it since. This one has some pretty neat stuff, I don't remember seeing the Casio system there though... http://assembler.roarvgm.com/
joeybastard #7 Posted October 8, 2004 Assembler is a cool site but that wasn't it either. I could be wrong that this guy had it, I just remember some kind of Casio thing that wasn't Pong. That drive I had it on died 2 years ago so his site may be long gone, hence the reason I have never found it again.
Famicoman #8 Posted October 9, 2004 Don't you just love the box art?
Raijin Z #9 Posted October 9, 2004 Standard Japanese faire. Ugh, now I'm reminded of the US Megaman and Ranma 1/2 box art. *blanch* Yeah, I suppose they know a thing or three about packaging aesthetics.
2600Lives #10 Posted October 9, 2004 You seen the G4 spot on the GameCube version of MMAC? They talk about the cover art to the original Mega Man, and why it's soooooo horrible. Basically, it was drawn in like 2 hours, and they didn't have time to do anything else.
Raijin Z #11 Posted October 9, 2004 I believe that is a motherfucking lie.
NovaXpress #12 Posted October 9, 2004 I second the "that is a motherfucking lie" theory. The art for MegaMan is so notably awful that they came up with a cover story.
AtariDude #13 Posted October 9, 2004 It seems that the system pictured above is for sale: http://nfg.2y.net/sales/html/EpllAFlZZyvsGXabUg.html I am going to see if I can find any more information regarding this system.
AtariDude #14 Posted October 9, 2004 I have not had any luck in finding the system but I probably need the exact name of the system in order to be able to find it.
msaeger #15 Posted October 10, 2004 I believe that is a motherfucking lie. No kidding in two hours they could have threw a screen shot on there and it would have looked better or how about just use the japanese one I don't know what they had on it but I couldn't have been worse. So what year is the casio system from ?
Atarinvader #16 Posted October 10, 2004 So what year is the casio system from ? From the design I'd say it was CD-i / 3D0 era. That's my guess. My favorite obsuce console is the Action Max. What's yours?
Flack #17 Posted October 11, 2004 The last Casio game I played involved punching a bunch of numbers into a calculator, turning it upside down, and seeing the word BOOBIES printed out. Or, you know, 8008135 ... Nice find.
