liveinabin #1 Posted November 7, 2001 Now, I'm asking this on behalf of my girlfriend Kate. Right... we're all familiar with the wood-effect panel on the original VCS front. But does every unit have the same grain or does it vary? haha I can't believe I asked this, but now I have - I'd REALLY like to know
+-^CrossBow^- #2 Posted November 7, 2001 Well..i don't know about variations from unit to unit...but I do know that the wood grain used between Atari and Sears Telegames units are totally different. I suppose it could also be possible for the woodgrain to differ between a 6 switch and 4 switch but I don't know that for sure either.
Ze_ro #3 Posted November 8, 2001 I have two six-switch Atari's (one heavy, one light) that have different woodgrain patterns. It's worth noting that even though these Atari's may be different, the part that has the woodgrain pattern on it (which also includes the ridged top, and the switch surroundings) is otherwise exactly the same in both models. --Zero
liveinabin #4 Posted November 8, 2001 but is the grain on the wood of both your six-switchers identical, as if they were printed, or different as if they were stock veneer?
Ze_ro #5 Posted November 8, 2001 I'm not sure what you mean... if you look at them though, the swirls in the woodgrain are different. Their color is slightly different too, but I think that has to do with the amount of use each one has seen. --Zero
