ColecoVision on MacMESS?

I was on the net looking for ColecoVision emulators, and I came across a

site that sounded like MacMess can emulate CV roms. Is this true? I don't see it listed in MESS when I run it. If not, does anyone know/have a Mac CV emulator? Thanks.

I've used MacMess with Colecovision before. Does a pretty good job. I would also recommend Mugrat. Anything Richard Bannister is working on is worth checking out:

Thanks for the tip. Now how do I get it to appear in the system list? And yes, Roger Bannister does do excellent work- got the Handy- but I can't run Mugrat on Mac 9.2....or can I?

I'm pretty sure all of Richard's new emus only run on OS X. Like DOS or Windows 95 it's going to get harder and harder to find newer and better emus for the aging OS 9.

 

For MacMess, I have a folder called ROMS and then a folder inside of that called Coleco. You need to put the coleco.rom (attached) bios file inside the coleco folder. MacMess should pick it up but since you're using an older version you might have to point the program to where your bios files are located.

Unfortunately Mugrat is only for OS X. It's a fairly new emulator and is quite good so far--it's what I use anytime I need to emulate ColecoVision games.
