Stuck in the Valley of Poison

I'm working on Scott's other "holy grail" easter egg, the JD initials in Raiders. While I am confident that he has completely raided this entire game (see his site, sheesh!), I've been wanting to try to beat it again (I haven't beat it since I was a kid) and this gives a good reason.

 

But everytime I fall into the Valley of Poison, I get trapped. How do you get back to the marketplace? I feel like I've tried every wall to no avail. What am I missing?

 

And Scott, do you have any leads on the JD initials in the game?

Jeeze it been years but don't you just make your way all the way to the bottom of the screen to leave the VOP??

Hit the reset switch and start over

 

actually i cant even remember every part of that game it has to be 12 years since ive played it

To exit the VoP, go up through the center of the two top bogs.

 

I'll start another topic with all the "leads" that I have for JD's initials in this one (of what little info I have...)

Doesnt one take you to the Market (up)and the other take you headed towards the Black Market? (down) I to havent played that game since I solved it with a friend about. 16 years ago!!
