Jess Ragan #1 Posted November 9, 2001 Yes, the NES version (unfortunately). Only it was called Super Pitfall and it sucked most mightily. I've heard the Tandy Color Computer version was even worse... (bursts into tears) JR
Rhindle The Red #2 Posted November 9, 2001 The NES (also MSX, btw) game is not Pitfall II. For one thing, don't you have a gun or something? Super Pitfall is a game unto itself, if a crappy one.
slapdash #3 Posted November 9, 2001 I think I have a SG-1000 version of HERO too...
Gunstar #4 Posted November 10, 2001 Just another unrelated to the 2600 question, regarding what was mentioned here... I have recently been enlightened to the existance of the Sega computers, I've read a bit about them, but was wondering; are they MSX compatible systems or proprietary? Are they NTSC compatible (Japan does use NTSC don't they?)?
Raccoon Lad #5 Posted November 10, 2001 I'm pretty sure they're proprietary and certain they're NTSC compatible
+Trebor #6 Posted November 10, 2001 See for yourself... http://smspower.speedhost.com/ Scroll down to the news section. Check it out further here (w/screenshots): http://smspower.speedhost.com/db/pitfall2.shtml I know it's not directly 2600 releated. However, I thought some may be interested in another port of Pitfall II. This port is kind of a mix between the 2600 version and the Arcade version. So, how many have we gotten so far... Atari 2600 Atari 5200 ColecoVision Commodore 64 SG-1000 Any others??? -Trebor [ 11-09-2001: Message edited by: Trebor ]
