Atari Jag version of Bubsy added to Bubsy HQ!

I never played Bubsy, I heard he was annoying but I never take that seriously. Im going to pick it up on the Jag eventually and wasnt one available for the PSX as well? I thinks its Bubsy 3d...

Wow bubsy has a fan site? I havent played much of bubsy other then that really bad psx game. And yeah that was bubsy 3-d man that was just so bad it was so bad they didnt even bother porting it to the saturn. It made O.P.M's 50 worst game list thats how bad 3-d was. I have to say 3-d put me off from trying the other games so i never bothered.

And i play sometimes Bubsy in FFT (on Project Tempest unfortunately :/) - it's maybe a little hard & annoying but i still play it with satisfaction.

I like Bubsy quite a lot. At least I like the Jag version, it's the only one that I've got. Yes, it is difficult, but it's quite fun nonetheless if you like 2D platformers.

The only version of Busby I somewhat enjoyed was the SNES version, but it wasn't that great.

The best bubsy is on the Jag. I really enjoy Jag bubsy. It's got speed, it's juiced. :-) It's not an awesome game, or one I love. But it's far from terrible.

There's no comparison. Bubsy on Jaguar is a 2D platformer, similar to Zool-2 I suppose. It's a unique version, and I really enjoyed it, as did my wife back at the time of release, and more recently my gamed-up kids.

Taking a 2D platformer and turning it 3D has failed so many times...

 

It's not a top 10 Jaguar game perhaps but I never understood why people didn't like it or Zool-2. It's certainly a fun game, and some people who did not like it never liked platformers, or had played another Bubsy on another platformer, and so presumed it was the same. There are various themes for the levels, and it's a nice change from shoot-em-ups, but still very playable as a pick-up-and-play just as Zool-2 and Soccer Kid are.

Yea, I have to agree. Zool 2 & Bubsy are both really good games. They are fast, smooth, responsive, very colorful and have good music too. I generally hate platform games, but I like Jag Zool 2 & Bubsy. They don't hold a candle to Rayman, though. Not much does, as far as 2d platformers go, though.
