The last time I talked with John he said he was getting out of Atari collecting. I was just about ready to buy some of his prototypes and he dropped off the face of the earth. I e-mailed him several times but got no response. That was back in April, so if you hear from him let me know.

John only partially got out of collecting. At first, he was going to sell a large part of his collecting, but after doing some reshuffling in his house (preparing for another kid) he found storage room for his collection. And so he decided to hang on to it after all.

 

I don't have a current emailaddress of him either.

I know he wanted to hang onto some of his stuff (mostly his unreleased games and artwork), but we had already struck a deal for some of his other stuff. If he wanted to back out I would have understanded, but he just plain stopped returning e-mails.

Sorry to hear about that. What you are referring to are his initial ideas on what to do with his collection. I know he changed his mind after that; in stead of keeping only the unreleased stuff and artwork, he decided to hang on to all of it.

Good thing I never sent out the money then. I had e-mailed him one last time to ask a question about another prototype and he never responded. If I had sent out the money already I would have been pissed!
