kenfused
I currently don't have my 7800 and CC2 hooked up (especially the serial connection). Can someone someone see what this does on the real thing? I have included a version both with and without the A78 header. I doubt it will work the first time but am curious since it will be the weekend before I can get mine hooked back up. Thanks. test7800.zip
+Mitch
It works on the real thing but the graphics are kind of glitchy. Mitch
+Mitch
I just tried it in MESS and I see what it's supposed to look like. Let me take a screenshot of the real system so you can see what that looks like. Mitch

Shaggy the Atarian
So does this mean BeefDrop will be on the 7800 or is it just wishful thinking on my part?
+Mitch
Well, it does look better in emulation. Mitch
kenfused
Here's the screenshot. Mitch I would say that qualifies as glitchy.

kenfused
Hmmm, it looks to me maybe like the DLI's could be happening in the opposite order as expected. Does the bottom half of the screen look like it might be in a 320 mode, and the top 160?

Gregory DG
Wow! BD on the 7800 would be great! Maybe this will spur on more homebrews for the ProSystem!
kenfused
I reorded a couple of things. Doubt if it will have any effect but it is worth a shot. test7800.zip

Shaggy the Atarian
Well if this comes out on cartridge form, I'll pick it up (don't have a CC2...and I haven't bought it for the 5200 yet since mine is currently out-of-order)

Gregory DG
Well, nuts. I'd be trying this on my CC2 if it weren't so late. It's in the bedroom where the wife is snoozing. I hope it'll be working by tomorrow morning!
Shaggy the Atarian
That looks great! Another testament to the 7800's ability to bring classic arcade quality games home!
kenfused
Probably well more than half of the work on the 5200 version was trying to ffigure out how to get more colors and multiplexing the players. Most of the graphics still can be improved (especially the moving objects). Everything currently with the moving objects are real quick enhancements. Are there any good font/sprite editors for the 7800 I wonder. Currently I am using a text editor, and various import/export tools I used to convert the graphics. I spent some effort into throwing more color at the board and hamburger pieces and very little effort in the chef and enemies so far. Ferris
I spent some effort into throwing more color at the board and hamburger pieces and very little effort in the chef and enemies so far. I figured as much, the first thing I noticed was that the burgers and buns just looked so much better than any other version ive ever seen. They just have more dimension and definately look 7800ish. If you can get these characters on par with those in Food Fight you'd be a hero to 7800 gamers everywhere. Good luck
