Galaga art

I have rebuilt a Galaga and it is all complete except for

the side art.

 

Anyone know of a place to get it.

I found a couple, but they were asking over $100.

 

Is that what I should be expecting?

This is my first arcade game I got, so I don't really know what to expect.

All the other stuff (bezel, kickplate, etc.) was much cheaper. Maybe I got lucky?

Maybe this is not exactly what you had in mind, but this page has some nice Illustrator files that might help you out. I hope that you might post some shots when you are finished! Good luck!

They don't have any Galaga replacement parts like side art listed... but I'm guessing it's because of.. some considerations (like "Namco" *cough*). I'd give him a call or email.

Yep, a little pricey. I just saw a set on ebay close around $135 this past week. Watch out, there are some people selling some pretty crappy copies out there though.

Expect to drop a bit on good art. Considering what that machine will sell for when you are ready, 100 bucks is pocket change.

 

arcadeshop.com is my favorite to get stuff like that. The products have always been top notch. There are others, but be careful. I bought an overlay for a Missile Command once and I swear it wore out as I was putting it on. Ugly stuff, and it was only 10 bucks cheaper than the good one.

I wouldn't expect you to find it for much less. If you do, you can expect it to be of fairly low quality.

I have had the system for a while now (about a year) and have

been cleaning it up whenever I have a chance.

 

Just got a new monitor actually. No more burn in

 

I will put up a picture if I ever get the side art.

I'm starting a MAME system for myself and think that may take up

most of my time.
