Red 5 #1 Posted October 26, 2004 I'm sort of new to MAME, but learning quickly Is there are ROM for those games that runs under MAME32
dvdguy #2 Posted October 26, 2004 Not to hijack your thread... but you can find these on DVD really cheap at any game store (I've seen them between $2.99-$4.99) and run them in a DVD player, PS2 or Xbox. Much easier than all the hassle you'll have setting up the laserdisc emulators, and you get cool extras on the discs too.

NE146 #4 Posted October 26, 2004 Yeah you can play them on DVD, but the fact is that the dvd version isn't really arcade perfect. To really play them as the arcade version did with the proper timing, moves.. Daphne does a really good job. Unfortunately it's a project and a half to get it going. The roms for Dragons Lair and Space Ace should be easy to find, the mpegs for the videos (either ripped from the original laserdisc or from the dvd version) aren't. They are over a gig and a half each and can usually be best found on usenet (if you can catch them when they're posted) or maybe on a file sharing system such as emule or bittorrent. It's definitely worth the effort however, either playing it on your pc, or on the xbox via Daphne-X. If it's too much effort, then yeah the DVD version should suffice. Good luck
Red 5 #5 Posted October 26, 2004 Thanks for the info. I thought it would be more work than just popping it in.
Blackjack #6 Posted October 27, 2004 As NE146 said, Daphne is good, but there is nothing in Mame yet. It is a headache to get daphne running, but if you find the right person at "freemameroms" to burn the discs for you, everything will pretty much be ready to go once you copy the files to your machine (there are just a couple little details to do).
