Picked up a couple of new games for Xbox today...

Recommended Posts

ESPN NBA 2K5 $19.92

Midway Arcade Classics 2 $19.92

Both from Wally World and both the last copies they had on the shelf....been meaning to get these for a while and have not had time.

First impressions, I like the NBA game...I don't really care much for any other basketball game I have played for the Xbox, but this one I really like so far. So if you are not a basketball fan, you might want to check it out....I wasn't and I'm pleasantly surprised!

The Arcade Classics 2 game is great...its fun, and unless you are an anal "it must be perfect or i'll complain" kind of person, for $20 you will love it...it's a must have!

:D

2 great new games for under $40? I'm happy.

*Side note...they have a 3 pack of racing games for the PS2 for $10 at my local Wally World...has Ford Racing 2, Corvette, and I think Burn out...started to grab one for $10...might do that on the way home tonight...anyone else seen this yet?

I've always liked the 2Kx games better than the competition from the days when they were on Dreamcast. They're just more fun for some reason.

Have you been noticing that a lot of games are hitting the market at $19.99, instead of $50? There's a whole bunch of games i'd like to pick up, but I don't always play them all. My checkbook overpowers my logic. I guess that's what the developers are hoping for. To get more unit sales in the budget range rather than less sales in the full price range.

I don't mind paying $20 for a game but I don't buy many at $50...like today...i spent $73 for everything I picked up and had two new games...i felt good about the purchase...if I had bought one game for $50 I would have spent $83 and not been that excited. I think the $20 mark would sell a LOT more games...fast nickle - slow dime kinda thing.

I know a lot of people copy games, but by the time you rent them and burn them...you can have the real thing for a little more. I always like to have originals myself...but a lot of people just rip stuff off...I think the lower game prices would cut out a lot of those people.

Why even rent & copy? Guess a lot of people still use dial-up. :P

Battlestar Galactica is pretty cheap on XBox, and pretty fun. Hard as hell, too, but I like that in a game  :P

Hey uber! On a fun scale of 1-10 where would you rank BSG ? I really want it, but have heard it gets too hard too fast. I like a little challenge but dont want to get pissed and give up either! It got bad reviews in the gamer mags I have read, so Im skeptical...

Electronics Botique has it $14.99 used, and I have thier 10% card. Cheap, but if I dont like it it's still not worth it ya know????

Well, I haven't played too far into it, but it doesn't seem too bad to me so far. But then, I thought Halo on Legendary was damned easy, so maybe I just have a skewed idea of what's "hard".

Guess you didn't know Toys R Us is having a buy 2 get 1 free game sale? You could have gotten another game priced at $20 for free. I never shopped much at TRU untill they had these sales.

I don't even know where the closest TRU is to me...but I'm guessing it would be cheaper for me to buy the game than travel to TRU...and sadly I'm not kidding..it's that far.
