A question about a Joystick.

I found someone who is selling a joystick with an Alien on the stick, (From the movie and the game from 20th century fox), and at the base it says Alien, but was this made for the Atari 2600 or for a computer game.

 

I don't want to buy the Joystick if it was not made for the Atari 2600. HEEEEEELLLLP.

If it's got the 9 pin connector on the end, I think it would work. Didn't alien come with it's own controller?

I dont recall any Atari joystick with an Alien on it. I did find this joystick:

It looks like a joystick that came with maybe a computer game? Alien 3??? I assime their talking about the 3rd movie. Is this the joystick you're talking about?

When I saw this picture, I too thought it looked like a controller for a computer and not for the 2600 system. Thank you guy's.
