atari70s #1 Posted November 5, 2004 I came across a guy at ebgames with a TG 16 CD addon. the guy whos the manager wanted to know if its something id be interested in . after a few days of looking it up he said it went for 140 without games and he had 3 titles. now i dont see them too often if ever so i figure it has to be on the rarer side of life. after we agreed on $95 i had to think about it . i dont know good the titles were and all. but i ended up putting out for it. and now that i have it i need to know from you all waht you think. the games are Valis II it came from the desert and lords of the rising sun. it also comes with the game case( plastic black) and a 5 player multi tap. 2 controlers adn system card. discuss. Lost Monkey #2 Posted November 5, 2004 2 of those games are shite. (Not Valis) The $20 offer was better, but $95 isn't bad. The only problem with the TGCD is that they seem to be failing all over now that they are going on 15 years old... There are lots of great Japanese CD and SCD games for it though.. although some get a little pricey. You'll need the upgraded Super System Ver. 3 card for the SCD games too. Lost Monkey #4 Posted November 5, 2004 Your card is the 2.0 card. The 3.0 looks like this:
GrizzLee #5 Posted November 5, 2004 I have a Turbo Duo for trade -Lee
christianscott27 #6 Posted November 5, 2004 tell him $75 take it or leave it, people on the selling end always start with the max value possible for their item. call his bluff if he mentions ebay, you could even bid on it when it goes up for auction and possibly do better. IMHO a turbo duo is a much better investment if you're looking to get into the platform, either way you'll be paying high dollar to get turbo CD games. christianscott27 #7 Posted November 5, 2004 whoops, just reread your post, doh you already got it digital press values- valis II- $20 it came from the desert - $10 lords of the rising sun - $15 cd-rom expansion (complete) - $100 turbo tap $10 controller $12 my instinct is not to pay full DP prices on this, esp. the controllers, unless that stuff is minty i'd pay at least a 1/3 less. on the other hand valis II is a pretty good score, now go get yourself Y's book I & II. xenomorpher #9 Posted November 5, 2004 How come its so expensive I remember I was doing a trade with guitarmas and I think he was trading me something like that for my Jag CD and I thought it would be ripping him off so I was nice and asked for some cash. Besides I dont have that much room and know little about them.
