liveinabin #1 Posted November 17, 2001 Oh My God! Just got space shuttle today (the activision one). I can't believe this is running on a 4-6k atari cartridge!!! totally brilliant!! And there was me thinking that the function of the colour/b+w switch was gospel set in stone. Its the kind of game that makes you glad to be american.....even if you're not. Nukey Shay #2 Posted November 17, 2001 Good luck at getting the requirements for the "Commander Wings" patch...gotta be the most difficult one to earn (and nobody has, as far as I can figure). BTW it's 8k...but that's just as impressive.
atarigamer #3 Posted November 18, 2001 I bet I could . I went to Space Camp and I was a commander . Anyways, flying a mission on a simulator has to be 1 million times as harder than the Activision game. Although I haven't played Activision's Space Shuttle. liveinabin #4 Posted November 18, 2001 I'll give the commander patch a go i did manage to get (apparently) the 2nd fastest Dragster time in the world so I could well be on a roll (life's too short to do the Freeway badge tho)
bcprs1 #5 Posted November 18, 2001 I have space shuttle, but I badly need a manual. I have no clue what I'm doing.
Nukey Shay #6 Posted November 19, 2001 I posted a simplified set of instructions here... http://www.atariage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb...c&f=16&t=000464 ...that lists when and what you need to do. BTW you'll know the commander screen if you see it, it shows the "wings" on the bottom of the screen instead of the usual ranking (this is the same final screen used in all ports of the game, as well).
