Cootster #6 Posted November 14, 2004 Why not? They are 2600 carts, after all. . . And I got burned by some halfwit at a Colorado Springs game store while trying to research the origins of these puppies . . . Made in the USA, my ass . . . My posts on their local newspaper MB probably led in some way to the flood of them on eBay, I think . . . Amazing how many people had them. I got a Keystone Kapers out of it, and it does have that extremely tiny board inside like the one Marco opened . . . They don't belong in the guide . . . Or should be listed as reproductions . . . Spirantho #7 Posted November 15, 2004 They should (IMHO) be listed as pirates just the same as any other pirate label. As a matter of interest, they are not common. They didn't all come creeping out of the woodwork in response to anything, what happened was that a seller found a huge box full of the things, and has been trickling them out onto the market for the last few months, bit by bit. There was another seller also selling them so I suspect one bought a load off the other, and has also been dumping them slowly. After this supply has dried up you won't see another for ages, I suspect - they're not common, they're just all in one place and all being sold. Of course that's assuming they're all genuine, but that's another story entirely (and has been beaten to death in other posts).
Nukey Shay #8 Posted November 15, 2004 Anything could be a genuine imitation Seriously, I dunno why anyone even bothers with Beagle Bros. carts. IMO they have as much value as any unauthorized reproduction...probably less due to the low quality labels.
