Are you sure you correctly put in the connector? I'm not sure of any place where you could trade in a non-working for a working one... What exactly are the problems or symptoms that your having with your NES?

Yeah man. Tell us more details about your problem and maybe we'll be able to help you out.

Have you cleaned your NES carts? Having a new 72-pin connector won't help much if you don't do this. Q-tips and alcohol does the trick. If you have the means to open a NES cart, then using a pencil eraser (or bigger) will wipe the connectors clean.

One thing to double check is did you put it back together properly? The latching system you take off to access the pin connector mainly. If you didn't put the entry lip back under the PCB, it (cart) is about 2 1/2 mm higher than it should be and of course-not making a good connection.

Another thing to check is if there are any bent pins in the new connector after putting in a few games (if it was very tight).

well at one point it would work if after i put a cart in i could hold the game down all the way (where it doesnt come back up just a little bit).

im pretty sure i put it back together the same way it came apart....if i posted some pictures of how it is assembled, would that help?

ok, so after trying again...i had given up for a couple weeks after a few failed attempts....i got it to work. i think im actually using the old 72pin connector, but it works 1st time everytime EXCEPT when i put a game in, and push the spring tray down, it doesnt always stay and doesnt always want to come back up when pushed once it is down. anyone have any ideas? do i have something to tight somewhere?

thanks!!
