philnyy
just this minute i was flipping the channels on t.v. and caught the last 10 seconds of a segment on pbs's antiques roadshow (the t.v. guide says it's part 3 of 3 las vegas show). the gentleman who owned the unit had a number of carts- one of which was quadrun. i can't believe i missed it because i had to watch the weather channel at that moment. philnyy
me too. it was pure luck that i passed it on the tv when i did. even though i didn't see anything i know it'll be on again, either later this week or so, or on another pbs station at a later date (i get 3 in my area). it's probably the only time i regret not watching the show too- old gaudy junk just doesn't do it for me. Cassidy Nolen
It was on PBS last night again. I was studying and my fiancee yelled in the other room. I missed the beginning, but they showed Waterworld, Chase the Chuckwagon, Tooth Protectors, and my baby Quadrun. They said the rarer games, WW, Chase and TP, were going for around 1-200 each. Then he said the rarest of the rare like Quadrun was 500-1000. Wow. That would be awesome if someone would actually go that high for a game. Highest I have seen was on ebay for River Patrol at 700. I have a rule on games. If it doesnt come with a monitor or coin mechs, I ain't payin' no 1000 bucks for it! And I thought I paid too much for my Quadrun?!! videotwit
Based on how much I payed for the item I traded for it ... calculating ... calculating ... I got my prototype Quadrun for about eight dollars. Hmmm... now I suddenly don't feel so bad.
Joel D. Park
By the way, I posted this below. I have Antiques Roadshow in MPEG format of the Atari section, if someone has somewhere for to put it so everyone can get it.
