spongebue #1 Posted November 20, 2004 Right now I'm planning on making a MAME cab using my dad's AMD-K6 450 MHz computer (the parts for a new one should come on Tuesday) but right now I am trying to do the hardest part: get my paws on a cabinet. I really don't want to pay too much (maybe $50 in good shape) but can't find too much other than what's on ebay in the Minnesota area. (God, I wish I caught this) Anyways, what's your favorite method of finding them? Luck in the thrifts? Flea markets? Garage sales? Or do you just like to go to arcades and see if there are any in the back? (thinking of doing that)

Stingray #6 Posted January 27, 2005 Go to all of the classic video game forums and do what you did here. Make it known that you're looking for one and be sure to put your location in the subject line of the post. You'll probably be amazed at how many locals with arcade machines you can track down that way. Cassidy Nolen #7 Posted January 28, 2005 I just got back from a 75 mile round trip that got me two free games: Punch Out and some beat down Aero Fighters (or Hero Fighters). Friend was getting a tattoo, and asked about the busted games in the lobby. Owner said take them, and I went down and did just that. Have not fired either up yet, but think they both work. Your connections help more than you know. If you are looking for a free one, ask EVERYBODY you know. You never know when one will turn up. I have even seen them on the side of the road (got a Missile Command that way). Cassidy
