Just finished KOTOR

What a nice little game! Unlike many games, it doesn't get impossibly difficult near the end. Great voice acting, better than average story (WAY above average for 21st century Star Wars!), beautiful graphics, sensible design. KOTOR II is on my wishlist for Xmas now that I'm ready for it.

Whichever one you finished as, I wholly recommend you start another game right now and play down the other route while you're waiting for KOTOR 2.

Aargh, maybe I should take this one on again. I didn't like it for two reasons the one time I started it: one was I felt overwhelmed with configuration choices at the outset, and two, I hated the combat. I want moving my character behind something to actually let 'em take cover, not just reset some quiet "ticks 'til you can roll the dice again" counter. I didn't make it off the first ship. But I liked the Flash Gordon sensibility of some of the soldiers' outfits.

Oh the first ship is undeniably dull, being little more than a button pressing tutorial. Yeah, I remember thinking I'd bought a turkey until about an hour or two into the game. Then it really comes alive.
