Try using 7800_32K, the rest should be OK.

 

The colors are rather off on the real thing, MESS isn't the best at accurately reproducing the 7800s colors.

I just viewed the roms (ik+ and haunted) on my PAL device.

The colors are terrible different, I didn't know that the color palettes of pal and ntsc are that different.

I wonder how it looks on a real ntsc device?

How can I convert the resulting .BIN file to something that can be included in DASM?

I'm sure someone has an incbin utility for DASM so I needn't reinvent the wheel.

Just use "incbin".

Take a look at the ik+ example than you can see how to use it.

Did found this tools looks good, would like to see some enhancements don't know if the source has been released.

 

Feature requests:

 

Option for the colors you select saved as colors.s to include in DASM.

Also a displaylist.s that can be included in DASM

And a preview window, so you can see the picture, is handy when you change colors
