joeybastard #1 Posted November 28, 2004 My nephew is 6 and has a GBA SP. For Xmas, we want to get him a game or 2 but I'm not too familiar with the real little kids games. We saw some Sponge Bob games and a few Muppets games. He likes the Power Rangers too and I saw a couple of those as well. Anybody out there with kids or nieces/nephews that can recommend a good GBA game for a 6 year boy? How are those cartoon video carts for the GBA? I would rather get him a game but those are an option too.
SS #2 Posted November 28, 2004 My EX's son used to love Kirby games when he was about that age. Granted, they were on the NES or SuperNES but the idea should be pretty much the same.
joeybastard #3 Posted November 28, 2004 Hmmm... Kirby might be good, I think he watches the cartoon. Also I could borrow that from him since I like Kirby games too I'll add that to the list of possibles, thanks!
xenomorpher #4 Posted November 28, 2004 How are those cartoon video carts for the GBA? I would rather get him a game but those are an option too. I got a Spongebob one just because I was curious. They are ok a bit choppy and the audio seems off but I was still impressed. For a child I think it would be great.
Avid Fan #5 Posted November 28, 2004 Mario games, I started playing them at 4, he could easily start now
joeybastard #6 Posted November 28, 2004 Mario games, I started playing them at 4, he could easily start now That's what I said to my wife but she thinks they're too complicated to hold his attention. I don't think so, this is a smart kid he'll get it right away. I wanted to get him SMB in that classic series they have.
oesii #7 Posted November 28, 2004 I usually go to this site to get five or more reviews of each game. The reviews usually say something about difficulty levels and what ages the games are good for: http://www.metacritic.com/games/gba/ That Astro Boy game looks good for kids
shep #8 Posted November 29, 2004 Any of the Mario advance games would be great. I also read somewhere that the Incredibles wasn't a terrible game.
z28in82 #9 Posted November 29, 2004 The marios are a good choice and there is a cartoon network racing game which doesn't look too bad. So just like everyone else here I'd give Mario
